Occupational Therapist Therapy Mentor – Southern Brisbane

As a Therapy Mentor, you will be a consolidated or advanced clinician and will support teams to implement evidence-based disability practice in their hubs and areas.
  
You will be responsible for achieving clinical targets relevant to our Queensland hubs and will provide input into therapy plans, raise clinical concerns, provide solutions and support team members with learning and development activities.
  
You will also support with mentoring team members completing their induction program, including new graduates. You will promote the Everyday Independence Clinical Model and champion new practices developed by the leadership team.
  
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated extensive previous experience in Occupational Therapy, in community-based settings, preferably providing supports in a disability setting
  • Tertiary qualified degree in Occupational Therapist, with current registration with AHPRA for clinical work
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of contemporary therapy practises and services
  • Commitment to learning and development
  • Ability to prioritise and influence – enabling the delivery of practical solutions within timelines
  • Experience in working with clinical strategy and working to targets
  • Experience or knowledge with risk prevention and management
  • Ability to compile, analyse and present statistical data
  • Commitment to achieving outcomes for people living with a disability and supporting them to reach their full potential
