About The Role
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, or Physiotherapist to step into the role of Advanced Therapy Mentor. What You’ll Do
As an Advanced Therapy Mentor, you’ll:
- Provide mentoring and guidance to colleagues, including early-career therapists, ensuring they feel confident and capable in their roles.
- Champion evidence-based practices and implement new initiatives developed by the leadership team.
- acilitate learning and development activities to upskill team members and build capability.
- Collaborate with the team to meet clinical targets and implement solutions for participant and team success.
- Promote our values and clinical model to inspire your colleagues.
- Teach and mentor mentees in:
- Using the LEAD assessment.
- Referring, delegating, and supervising Habit Coaches.
- Completing therapy plans for every participant.
- Understanding scope of practice for each discipline within an interdisciplinary team (IDT).
- Planning intervention activities within the sprint methodology.
- Embedding learning into practice through appraisal and feedback.
- Contribute to induction, community of practice, and organisation-wide education, including resource review and development.
- Demonstrate commercial acumen and teach mentees how to optimise time to meet billable targets.
- Work with Team and Area Leads to actively contribute to practitioner retention.
- Identify potential future mentors and, in collaboration with the Area Lead, support their growth in mentor roles.
- Provide mentoring support across different areas and states.
- Support team members with achieving clinical targets relevant to their hub and area, providing input into therapy plans, raising clinical concerns, and offering solutions.
- Mentor team members completing their induction program, along with new graduates.
- Champion the EI Clinical Model and drive the adoption of new practices developed by the leadership team.

- Holds a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Physiotherapy.
- Has current registration with the relevant professional body:
- AHPRA for Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
- SPA for Speech Pathologists.
- Has extensive experience in a community-based and/or disability setting.
- Thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Is passionate about mentoring, coaching, and developing others.
- Understands contemporary therapy practices and is dedicated to achieving outstanding participant outcomes.
- Has the ability to influence, inspire, and foster confidence and capability in others.
- Has experience working with clinical strategy and meeting set targets.
- Has knowledge of risk prevention and management.
- Is proficient in compiling, analyzing, and presenting statistical data.
- Is committed to achieving outcomes for people living with a disability and supporting them to reach their full potential.
