About The Role
We are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done:

  • Working in the social model means you’ll work in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
  • Utilizing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
  • Building meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
  • Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework
  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
  • Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
  • Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
  • You’ll tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor

Who We Are Looking For

To work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you’ll have:

  • Be deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Psychological/Social Science or related field)

You’ll also need:

  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • Strong communication skills and be a team player
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth
  • A valid Australian drivers license
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Working with Childrens Check
