About The Role
As a Habit Coach at Everyday Independence, you will:

  • Support NDIS participants in Southern Brisbane/Springwood and surrounding areas.
  • Work at participant’s home or a community location (you will be required to drive to/from sessions).
  • Support participants across all ages and stages of life.
  • Work under the guidance of the primary therapist (Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Physiotherapist, Key Worker or Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner), you’ll play a vital part in enabling the participant to develop greater independence and work towards reaching their full potential.

What do you need to be successful?
To work as a Habit Coach, you’ll have:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance OR
  • Be studying Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year) OR
  • Equivalent qualification

You’ll also:

  • Be available minimum two (2) days a week to support participants during their afternoon routines (3:30pm – 6:30pm)
  • Be open to travel to regional/surrounding areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions.
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence and empathy.
  • Maintain clear focus on the goals and outcomes of our participants.
  • Act professionally and always follow company protocol.
  • Be self-motivated, reliable and can work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated passion for working within the disability sector and make a difference in people’s lives.
  • A valid Australian drivers license and access to your own vehicle.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Working with Childrens Cheek.
