Life Stages Supported by Developmental Educators
Transitioning to Independent Adult Life: 1 9-21 Years
Driving Positive Developmental Change
Transitioning to independent adult life may require support to develop functional life skills in areas such as social interactions, communication, daily living, recreation, further education and employment.
Everyday Independence developmental educators are skilled in helping young adults aged 19 – 21 years develop and refine these life skills.
At Everyday Independence, developmental educators serve as your primary therapist, leading and coordinating your therapy journey. They organise services from other allied health practitioners and link you to other supports like education, mental health, welfare, and employment services.
This service is currently offered by the Central Adelaide, Southern Adelaide and Bayside therapy hubs.
